Learn how to troubleshoot bank feed connections when your bank transactions are no longer coming in as expected.
When your bank feed has issues, there are three ways you can try to fix it:
1. Refresh the Accounts
2. Re-authenticate the Bank Feed
3. Remove and re-add the Bank Feed
...but first we need to locate them.
Locate Your List of Bank Feeds
Click on Settings, then click on the Connect Banks page. This page contains a list of all your bank feed connections.
Refresh your Accounts
If the Last Refresh date isn't current, that means the latest transactions have not been imported from your bank. To update your connection status, click on the Refresh button to the right of the bank’s feed.
Re-Authenticate Your Bank Feed
Sometimes bank feeds needs to be re-authenticated, which simply means you need to enter your credentials again. If you need to re-authenticate the feed, you will see a message to update your connection. Click on the Update button and follow the prompts.
If the re-authentication is successful, transactions will resume importing into the Banking page. You may need to wait 24 hours before transactions start to import.
Remove and Re-add Your Bank Feed
In some cases, re-authentication may not work. Another solution you can try is removing the bank feed and re-adding it.
Note: Always contact our support team before you remove your bank feed to avoid duplicate data
Locate the feed with an issue and click on the Remove button. Now, re-add the bank feed by following the instructions found in the Connect Banks article.
Remove Duplicate Transactions
When you re-add a bank feed, duplicate transactions may be imported into the Banking page. If this happens, there is a link near the top of the page that you can click on to remove all unmatched rows, as seen below.
Note: It is critical that you match/add all the income and expenses you need before you bulk remove duplicates.
The Remove Unmatched Rows link will remove all unmatched rows.
However, if you only want to remove a single imported transaction, locate the transaction and click on the Remove from Bank Statement checkbox below it, then click on the Remove button.
