TrulySmall Accounting supports the ability to copy and paste transactions on the Bulk Entry page. This convenient feature saves you time by eliminating the need for manual data entry, making it the ideal solution for adding multiple income or expense records efficiently.

There are several methods available for copying and pasting transaction data. Each approach is explained in detail below.

Copy and Paste All Columns and Rows

Step 1

Open an Excel or CSV file you wish to copy in a spreadsheet editor (like Microsoft Excel). In the example below, the file has separate columns for the following; Date, Contact, Payment Account, Memo, Category, Amount and Taxes.

Note: You can substitute account names and category names with their corresponding account numbers and category numbers.

Step 2

Select all the columns and rows in the file, making sure that each column heading follows the same order as TrulySmall.

Step 3

On the Bulk Entry page, select the first cell on the top left and paste the information using your mouse or keyboard. We recommend doing a quick verification to confirm that all transaction details have been copied successfully.

Step 4

Once everything is complete, click on the Post button to save them. The posted transactions will appear on the main Transactions page.
